Our position on AI
We use AI to organise music. Never to make it.
What AI does in DADAAUDIO
AI listens to your music so you don’t have to tag it by hand. Every result is yours to change, and when you edit something the AI wrote, your version wins.
- Tags for mood, genre, instruments, energy and more
- Lyrics, transcribed, with explicit content flagged, and the themes they talk about
- BPM and key
- Search by meaning: describe what you need in your own words
- Voice tags: your own spoken tag on listening copies, in your voice or an AI voice you choose
- Coming: finding music that sounds like a reference, and help improving your mix
What we never do
We never generate music.
Not for you, not for anyone, not from your catalogue.
We never train AI on your music.
We only use paid AI services whose terms don’t allow your material to be used to train their models.
We never sell your data,
or your music, to anyone.
You decide
You can switch AI off for your workspace at any time. Your music stays exactly as it is.
Where we stand on AI-generated music
Music is made by people. It carries years of practice, taste and risk, and the people who make it deserve to be paid for it and recognised for it.
AI-generated music is flooding catalogues and streaming services, and it’s getting harder to tell what a person made. We think that’s a problem worth solving with technology, not just talking about.
That’s why DADAAUDIO is building ways to show that music is human: a NO AI MUSIC badge for artists who show how they work, and tools that help catalogues stay honest. You’ll see them first in Canopy.
