Cookie policy

Visitors of dadaaudio.com get no cookies unless they arrive through a friend’s invite link. Our visit statistics use no cookies and store nothing on your device (see the privacy policy).

• dada-ref (cookie and browser storage): only when you open an invite link from someone already on the waitlist. It keeps that invite code, so that when you join, your friend is credited for inviting you. Lasts 30 days, and is read by the app when you sign up.
• dada_owner: lets the owners of DADAAUDIO see the parts of the site and the app that aren’t public yet. Set only after an owner signs in; lasts 30 days.

• sb-…-auth-token (one or more cookies): keeps you signed in. Set by our sign-in provider, Supabase, when you sign in; renewed while you use the app; removed when you sign out. While you sign in with Google, a short-lived companion cookie (ending in “code-verifier”) protects the sign-in.
• aerie-theme: remembers the appearance you chose (light, dark or as your system). Lasts one year.
• Browser storage (not cookies, they never leave your device): which folders and sidebar sections you left open, the player volume, and the columns you chose the last time you imported a spreadsheet.

Opens, plays and downloads are counted for the sender without cookies and without storing anything on your device. Only these are kept, and only after you do something:

• aerie_share_… : only on links protected by a password. After you type the password, it keeps it for that link only, so you don’t have to type it again. Lasts 30 days.
• aerie-replier (browser storage): the name and email you typed when you replied or wrote on a link, so that you don’t have to type them again. Only if you wrote something.

• Google sign-in: if you choose “Continue with Google”, you sign in on Google’s own pages, where Google’s cookies and privacy policy apply.
• Payments: when paid plans open, the checkout is provided by Polar on its own page. There, Polar and its payment processor may use cookies needed to process the payment and prevent fraud, as explained in Polar’s own policies.

You can see and delete cookies and browser storage in your browser’s settings. If you block the sign-in cookies, you won’t be able to stay signed in to the app; everything else on our public pages works without them.

If we ever add a cookie or service that needs your consent (for example a video from another site or statistics that aren’t anonymous), we will ask you first and update this page.
