FAQ
Questions, answered.
The beta and plans
When can I start, and what happens at launch?
The beta opens in waves from Thursday 15 October. Join the waitlist today: when your wave opens, you get every feature for free, up to 500 tracks, until launch. At launch your workspace moves to Aerie Free: nothing is deleted or hidden. As a beta tester you also get 50% off the first year of an annual plan.
What’s included in Free?
50 active tracks with unlimited versions, stems and files, the full Sync Passport, AI tags and lyrics, search by meaning, import from CSV, Excel, CWR and Dropbox, Drive or Box links, Undo, share links that show who opened and played your music, timed comments, shared projects and licence requests. Free forever, not a trial. See all plans
How do Plume and Perch work with my plan?
They’re add-ons to your DADAAUDIO plan, even to Free, and they grow with it. Your plan sets one track limit and one seat count for the whole workspace, and your music is never uploaded twice. See pricing
Is there a free trial of the paid plans?
After launch, every new workspace gets 14 days of Studio (or the plan you choose on the pricing page) with Plume and Perch, no card. Then it moves to Free, with nothing lost. During the beta, everyone is on Tester instead: testers don’t get the 14-day trial, they have the tester discount.
Can I use it on my phone?
Yes, Aerie works in the browser on any phone, tablet or computer. Desktop and mobile apps are on the way.
Your music and your data
Is my music private? Where is it stored?
Your music is private until you decide to share it, and every link stays under your control: password, expiry date, downloads on or off. Your files and data are stored in the EU.
Does DADAAUDIO own any rights to my music?
No. You keep every right to your music. We store and process it only to run the service for you, and we never act as your publisher.
Can I export everything and leave?
Yes, whenever you want: your files, your metadata, your credits and your rights data, in standard formats like CSV and CWR.
AI
Is my music used to train AI?
No. We only use paid AI services whose terms don’t allow your material to be used for training. You can switch AI off for your workspace at any time. Our position on AI
What does the AI actually do?
It listens and organises: tags for mood, genre and instruments, lyrics, explicit content, BPM and key, and search in your own words. It never makes music. Our position on AI
Moving and sharing
Can you help me move my catalogue?
Yes. Most people import on their own in minutes: a spreadsheet, an Excel file or a CWR file, then the audio. For catalogues over 500 tracks we’ll move it with you, free during the beta. Bring your catalogue
Do the people I send music to need to pay?
No. Anyone you send music to can listen, download what you allow, comment, request a licence and send you files, without an account and without paying.
The ecosystem
When do Plume, Perch and Canopy arrive?
Plume opens in early access with the beta, on Thursday 15 October. Perch and Canopy are in development: we’ll open each one when it truly works, not before. You’ll be able to add them to your plan, and your Aerie music will already be there.
What’s the difference between Aerie, Plume, Perch and Canopy?
Aerie keeps your music and its rights in order, and it’s part of every plan. Plume publishes it to the world as your website and Perch puts it to work with clients: both are add-ons. Canopy will connect it to new opportunities. One login, the same music everywhere.
Your music, in order.
